City Council
All five councilor-at-large incumbents win another term
Bonfanti wins with 73.3% of the vote
Both Ward 1 and 6 incumbents look to win easily.

it appears that we are still in the dark ages here in Dark City when it comes to counting votes...how long would it take if we ever had a 50% turnout !!
The Salem News site is finally posting SOME Peabody numbers... only Mayor so far...
I know OG... I mean these are electronic ballots!
The Patriot seems to be reporting that for SC...

Very interesting in the At-large...
Clearly Bettencourt is the man to beat.
He wins by 1,411 more than number two Gravel.
In fact... the spread from number 2 to 5 is only 638... which is almost like no difference amongst the voters.
I think Bettencourt CAN make his play for the corner office if he so chooses.

hold on now PI...don't count out Ann Manning just yet....as you know OG is on the record as already predicting that she will be Dark City's first female mayor.... a contest between here and Teddy B would be very interesting...and I would not be shocked to see Gravel show some interest as well...they will all have the 'resume' and name recognition for the job...it could get real interesting here in a couple of years....will we still be blogging then????

... except I am holding out just a glimmer of hope for Jeff Grayson in Ward 4. I think he would make a positive addition to our City leaders.

not so sure about Grayson...don't really know much about him...does he work up at Costco in Danvers?? it seems to me that Driscoll could have taken it or left it this year ...maybe he is really done and was hoping to get unseated...his low energy level has always bugged me...it's always a political treat with a 1 vote difference...it sends an important reminder that your vote can indeed make a difference.
