Vote Carli Says:

just to back up what Whogaf said about Tony Carli being a viable candidate for the CC in another post. He is more than just viable, he is the right fit at the right time. He will be the light this dark city needs. If you want true leadership, then Tony is your man, nuff said.

Now I am not picking sides here... I can't even vote for Ward 1 Councilor...

But I would like to actually see some reasons to vote FOR someone posted somewhere.

Just because someone attends ballgames or walks around his ward asking for votes doesn't really give me a reason to vote for him or her.

So, I'm sorry but... NOT nuff said in my mind yet.

Another Carli Supporter said:

A reason to vote Carli is because the man is a leader in the face of danger. On a daily basis he is ready to lead a squad effectively in any emergency situation and not get his feathers ruffled. He sees a problem and fixes it.

Forty and Osbourne? puleeze. Pathetic losers! If Peabody citizens want great leadership, they will vote for Anthony Carli. If they want more of the same old crap, then they can vote for one of the two other goons. But believe me, as more and more people get to know Tony, they will now he is there next city councilor. VOTE for Tony CARLI!

You know what... this isn't a forum for simple boosterism and bashing of candidates.

At least the Another Carli Supporter gave a few reasons why he thinks Carli is a good choice, but then to just blast the other candidates with no evidence is childish. I mean at least Osbourne has a history and you could point out things you didn't like... but Forti is a political newcomer in Peabody, but did serve in Saugus. So if you are going to knock a candidate make sure you explain WHY you dislike them.

In fact, an interesting discussion took place on the old Peabody Patriot pretty much as a Forti vs. Carli argument.

You can still see the old cached copy HERE.

It makes interesting reading and scores points for and against both candidates.

And in the previous post I did not mean to misspell Baryy Osborne's name. My bad.

Peabody_insider, it is clear you are against Tony Carli. It is not boosterism to say Carli is a leader, a go-getter, a man that WILL get the job done - IT IS FACT. Why don't you take the time to get to know Tony Carli and then you will know its true. He is the leader Ward 1 and the rest of Peabody needs. Instead you defend osborne and forti - two idiots if you ask me - yes my opinion. I call them idiots because all they are are political hacks. osborne has been bad for Peabody for years. And as the link YOU provided shows, forti ruined the city of Saugus when he was elected there.

Isnt it funny you are the only one defending them? Where are the osborne and forti supporters on here? I'll tell you why there is none - because they know Tony Carli is the real deal! Now stop being onesided and give Tony Carli a chance. As ward 1 already knows and most of Peabody will start to know, Tony Carli is the next city councilor.

Vote Carli.

I am not for Carli. Or for Osborne or Forti. I can't even vote in Ward one... I live in Ward four.

I was pointing out that coming onto a blog and saying....

"Candidate Smith is the best thing since sliced bread and the other all suck dog poop!"...is neither informative nor helpful as you have given absolutely NO PROOF or even good REASONS for voting FOR or even AGAINST anyone!

So simple boosterism is FINE but it means NOTHING.

I think that Mr. Carli just earned some serious respect from me with the way he handled his loss in the Primary.

From the Salem News:
"It was a great introduction to Peabody politics," Carli said.

He appreciated the amicable relationship that developed among the candidates. The three men chatted while holding signs outside a polling station yesterday.

"The biggest thing I gained out of this," Carli said, "was a friendship with both Barry and Rob."

A very classy action.
